Applications Software includes programs needed to control test sequences on certain testers such as Sun data link software for example. System/Installation software is normally in the form of 3.5-inch floppy diskettes. This makes initial installation and eventual updating of the software very simple for all users. SCA 3500, MCS 2000, MCA 3000, DGA 1800, all require system/installation and/or application software.
