MGA stands for Modular Gas Analyser. To you this means that you can start with the basic version and upgrade the analyser as it suits you. Basic Configuration The basic unit allows for accurate CO, HC and CO2 measurement. Thus, it is the perfect tune-up tool for modern high-tech engines fitted with complex management systems. In addition it enables you to check the vehicle's conformity with today's legal emissions requirements. Corrected CO reading A simple software update combined with some additional displays expands the capability of the tester to display the corrected CO readings. Corrected CO provides a clear indication if the sample is diluted, caused by a leak in the vehicle's exhaust system. O2/Lambda Kit Add this kit to your MGA and you are all set. The O2 measurement allows the tester's microprocessor to calculate the Lambda or AFR value. This is the latest in exhaust gas analyser technology to check proper functioning of complex engine management systems. No need to measure before the catalyst. The Lambda (or AFR) reading will show you the engine's mixture conditions while measuring at the tailpipe. RPM/Oil Temperature Kit Add this kit and you are all set to use the analyser in a separate emissions diagnostic bay. Check if the engine's idle speed meets the manufacturers specification while having continuous readings on the operating temperature of the engine under test. Printer Kit Add this kit and you can provide your customer with a printed copy of the test results. The printer used is a fast 80 column printer with "graphics" capability. It will print details of your workshop together with the test results in a professional format to help you sell the job. The printer is mounted on slides for convenience of use.

THE 15,000 MILESTONE Worlwide demand for the MGA 1200 has led to a production of over 15,000 gas analysers until now. Following this success story, SUN has specially developed a fully-equipped jubilee model: the MGA DIAMOND. The MGA DIAMOND is an MGA-1200 Modular Gas Analyser-based Four-Gas tester, standard provided with every possible option and O.I.M.L. class-1 approved. It comes with a printer and a special cabinet in which you can store many accessories, tools and much other equipment (for example an ASA-200 Advanced Diesel Analyser). Another handy feature is the front panel which can be used as a writing platform. The screen is dividend into eight sections which display measured values for: CO/CO2/HC/COCOR/O2/RPM/Temperature and Lambda/AFR.
